Massage Essential Oil - A Best Combination
Using essential oils with massage combines two very healing items at one time. Massage is known to help relax and soothe sore muscles while essential oils contain healing properties that can be very powerful. By combining essential oils with massage oils you can create a healing massage session. Massage essential oil is simply a carrier-base of massage oil with the addition of the essential oil containing the properties deemed necessary by the massage therapist. For example, if a person is suffering from stress, can merely essential oil or lavender essential oil can be added to the massage oil to help aid in relaxation. If a person needs to be invigorated, adding some lemon essential oil to the massage oil base will add an enlivening aspects to the massage.
A basic massage oil starts with a carrier oil. There are many different types or flavors of carrier oils. To the carrier oils are added any number of essential oils with various healing properties such as lavender oil, lemon oil, chamomile, ylang-ylang, rose oil, and even peppermint oil.
Below is a list of common carrier oils that are used as the base for the massage essential oil.

Olive oil. A fairly inexpensive oil that is widely available. However, it has its own strong odor which may conflict with any essential oil. Avocado oil. This is a very heavy oil that is rich in nutrients and very good for dry skin. Grape seed oil. This is a very light oil so it's good for people with oily skin as it will not add a lot of oil to the persons in. It is also quite inexpensive. However, since it is so lightweight, a massage therapist may need to use more of it. Massage essential oil is simply a massage oil carrier mixed with or blended with aromatic essential oils. This massage oil blend can be custom created for each particular clients needs and can be used for various different types of massage.
