Neroli Essential Oil To Rejuvenate And Relax
Neroli essential oil is the oil from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. This tree is also known as Seville orange, sour orange, bigarade orange, and marmalade orange. It grows throughout the Mediterranean region, in the United States in Florida, and other warm, citrus growing regions throughout the world. The essential oil is distilled from the flowers only. Neroli essential oil is used as a stimulant and also as a natural appetite suppressant and is used in many natural, herbal weight-loss and diet products. Chemically, it is very similar to ephedrine and while acting as a stimulant it can constrict blood vessels, increase blood pressure, increased heart rate, and also increase metabolism. This is why it is used for weight loss.
There are however, some contradictory studies, that show the essential oil can be a sedative and can be helpful in relieving stress caused by emotional problems. It is also claimed to help with insomnia, heart palpitations, and to reduce nervousness. Even though it can increase metabolism as an herb, the essential oil when used for aromatherapy can relieve anxiety, depression, stress.
When used on the skin or when mixed with a massage oil, Neroli oil can help rejuvenate aging skin. In fact, a massage essential oil in a carrier base with 10% to 20% of Neroli oil can provide for a relaxing massage and help skin look smoother and younger.

It is also antibacterial and antiparasitic and when massaged into the stomach can help with intestinal problems. When selecting Neroli oil, look for varieties that are organic or harvested from wild plants. And since Neroli essential oil is a powerful aromatic, test a very small amount to be sure you don't have an allergic reaction to the oil.
